A meeting was held on January 20, 2010 at Chatham Acres.  The meeting opened at 12:04pm.  Members present were Patricia Dufour, Jo Ann Ewing, Ann McLaughlin, Tom Denman, Monica Kangley and Judie Bobbi.  Bernie Blumenthal and Dan Donohue from Blumenthal and Donohue Insurance also attended.

Minutes:  
Ms. McLaughlin made a motion to accept the minutes from December 16, 2009.  Ms. Kangley seconded.  Vote was unanimous.

Bills and Communication:
DAS send a letter to all those in the Master Insurance Program stating it has been transferred to the Workers Compensation Division as of Jan. 1st.
DECD sent notice of a Weatherization Assistance Program to be held on Jan. 28th at the Veterans Home and Hospital in Rocky Hill at 2:30pm.  Ms. Dufour is planning to attend.
Ms. Bobbi will RSVP.

Cash Report:
Ms. Bobbi presented the bank reconciliation for December 2009.   The Board reviewed the report and it will be filed for audit.

Old Business and New Business:
Ms. Bobbi noted that advertisements to accept applications have been placed in the papers.
The sidewalk issue at Chatham has been taken care of.
A quote for two digital thermostats with covers was received.  Total is $450 for cost and installation.  A motion was made by Ms. McLaughlin to approve.  Mr. Denman seconded.  Vote was unanimous.
The re bedding of the water filter at Chatham Acres has been completed.
Notices were posted in the newsletter and at Bellwood regarding the heat and the doors.
Ms. Bobbi has completed the financial statement for the 4th quarter.  Copies were distributed to Board members and a set of the report, the 2010 budget and Pilot payment are ready to go to the town.  CHFA and DECD copies will be sent out today.
Presentation by Blumenthal and Donohue regarding a quote for all our necessary policies and the amount of coverage we could have including the services they will provide such as all policies under one company with an A+ rating with the exception of Public Officials Liability which would be with an A++ rated carrier.  Currently five other state housing authorities are covered through Blumenthal and Donohue.

Congregate:
Ms. Bobbi reported that she has been unable to coordinate a meeting with Frank Gryb and Jim Carey.  She will notify the Board when their schedules permit.
Ms. Bobbi sent the Board members draft letters for State Senator Daily and State Rep. Hamm.  Ms. Kangley noted she would like the wording East Hampton inserted where it states that approvals from the various town boards were given in the original plan of the 1990’s.  Board members agreed to send the letters out.  A copy will also be sent to Jeff O’Keefe the Town Manager.
Board members are still trying to find an RFP form that may be helpful.

A motion was made to adjourn at 1:30pm by Ms. Kangley.  Ms. McLaughlin seconded.
